about
Da-Tah // WHA001
The Da-Tah project is a unique collaboration between the bastard pop netlabel WHA!? and idontfeellikedancin.com, the #1 Scissor Sisters Fan Site & online community. Each mashup of the main album and the #14 bonus track is new and exclusively produced for this project.
We believe that the Da-Tah is a small milestone in the music history, but definitely a turning point for the mashup scene. As far as we know, this is the first time when a fan community and bootleggers worked together in peace and friendship to create something new and creative to tribute their loved band. Usually the die hard fans of bands hate mashups because they think they loved music been ruined. The contributors of the Da-Tah will prove it how wrong they are. This tracks are taking the original Scissor Sisters songs into new directions, but the album in general kept the original crazy, twisted vibe and spirit of the Sisters.
The Scissor Sisters not been involved in this project, this is not an official Scissor Sisters release. The Da-Tah is free to download, its a tribute to the wonderful world of the Scissor Sisters and gift to the open minded music fans of this universe. If you like the Da-Tah, go and buy the music of the original artists!
Da-Tah has been compiled and produced by Matt Hite and Simon Iddol. It is the result of a collaboration between many talented producers, each contributing their own unique track to the project. The main Da-Tah album is the mashed version of the original Scissor Sisters album, the Ta-Dah. The bonus tracks are a small selection of the best previously released Scissor Sisters mashups.

It's not bad, still think the Scissor Sisters suck. Irregardless, many artists on here have elevated them to listen-able levels.

Awesome album everyone - very well produced on every track! I'll be giving the album a plug on show 94 of my weekly podcast, and will be putting a link in the show notes to the website.
Any chance of a Depeche Mode one in the near future?
